China’s economic, political, and military expansion into the Indo - Pacific region (IPR) has been facing growing resistance from a range of countries including the US, India, Japan, and Australia. The region has become a significant geopolitical strategic focus of the world. The UK, among others, is actively adjusting its strategic outlook and building specific policies for IPR. In the context of the Covid-19 epidemic, the Russo - Ukrainian conflict, and the global economic downturn, the post-Brexit UK (since 2020) has been forced to reconsider certain aspects of its domestic and foreign policies following the world’s drastic changes which include the growing importance of IPR. This article focuses on the UK’s interests, perspectives, and strategies on the IPR, and its implementation, as well as assessing the impact of the UK’s presence in the IPR and its future.

Over the past half-century, many new economic models and theories have been geared toward social and ecological transformation, as well as put focus on the measurement of human well-being in economic activities. Gross National Happiness (GNH), specifically Gross National Happiness in Business, has been broadly received by enterprises worldwide. Significant changes have been seen in the awareness and actions of governments, non-governmental organizations, and enterprises toward realizing GNH in business. The paper overviews the implementation of Gross National Happiness in businesses in Europe, which is believed a useful reference for Vietnam in mobilizing resources for ecological environment protection, cultural preservation, education, and community development.

Over the years, Vietnam’s positive achievements in cultural heritage preservation have contributed to protecting, preserving, and transmitting cultural values of the past as well as making good use of heritage sites regarding economic aspects which correspondingly enriches the national budget. However, this also has faced several challenges and difficulties in harmonizing conservation and development, preservation and exploitation, as well as economic and cultural goals. The article reviews the main solutions of cultural heritage preservation and some issues in preserving cultural heritage in Vietnam today, thereby proposing solutions to promote such an effort.

Hoang Mai - Quynh Luu is a dynamic economic region not only in the North of Nghe An province but also in the Southern Thanh Hoa - Northern Nghe An region. However, the development of Hoang Mai - Quynh Luu area in recent years has neither been commensurate with its potential nor linked with the Southern Thanh Hoa - Northern Nghe An region. Based on secondary sources including State policy documents, previous studies, available local data, and reports, the article analyzes the situation of the regional development and proposes some solutions to strengthen the economic development in Hoang Mai - Quynh Luu area associated with the Southern Thanh Hoa - Northern Nghe An region.
