Yasukuni Shrine in China - Japan Relations (15/03/2024)

The article clarifies the origin and historical-cultural role of the Yasukuni shrine from the Meiji era, analyzing and discovering its multidimensional impacts on political and diplomatic relations between Japan and China through generations of leaders of the two countries. Issues related to the Yasukuni shrine visits by the Japanese Prime Ministers are also objectively evaluated, through which several practical issues between the two countries and the situation in Northeast Asia are examined.

Ethnic Policy Towards the Brau People in the Border Area of Kon Tum Province: Situations and Problems (15/03/2024)

Brau is one of five very small ethnic minority groups in Vietnam with a population of less than 1,000 people, currently residing in Dak Me village, Po Y commune, Ngoc Hoi district, Kon Tum province. This community benefits from many special policies of the State. The article presents results of implementing ethnic policies for the Brau people, and discusses some relevant issues. From there, conclusions and recommendations are drawn to overcome limitations and improve the quality of support policies for the very small ethnic minorities.

Vietnam - Brazil Trade Cooperation in Recent Years (15/03/2024)

Brazil has the largest economy in Latin America. Vietnam and Brazil first established diplomatic relations in 1989. Vietnam - Brazil trade cooperation in the early stages was not really significant, but has continuously been promoted since the early 2000s and gained remarkable progress in recent years. However, there remains much room to improve which also includes many opportunities, especially when the negotiation of a free trade agreement between Vietnam and the South American Common Market (MERCOSURE) is achieved. The paper analyzes the situation of trade cooperation between Vietnam and Brazil in recent years, indicates development opportunities, clarifies some raised issues, and then makes some proposals to promote trade cooperation between the two countries in the near future.

Novels after 1986 underwent a significant change as a result of artistic thinking innovation. Among others, change in characters is of particular interest to writers since main characters are to express the work’s ideological theme and artistic viewpoints. Novels of the post-Doi Moi era have had groundbreaking changes in the artistic conception of human beings. Then, there appear a various types of character, including the multifaceted, the corruptible, the symbolic, the grotesque, and the anonymous.
