Current Structural Movement in Asia-Pacific Region and Vietnam’s Policy Responses (14/06/2020)
While the structure in the Asia-Pacific region in the first two decades of the 21st century was drammatically influenced by the rise of a new contending power (China) alongside the incumbent (United States), it is forecast to be greatly affected by the strategic competition between these two powers as well as the participation of the others in the third decade. The paper, based on theories of structure, assesses the current structural movement in Asia-Pacific region, thereby making preliminary predictions about its transformation in the 2020s decade. Vietnam’s present and future policy responses are also taken into consideration.

Public Debt Strategy in Vietnam: Issues Posed for Period 2021-2030 (14/06/2020)
Public debt, external debt and public debt management are mong ardently debated topics on national and global forums. The paper analyzes the implementation of the Vietnam’s Public Debt Strategy for the period of 2011-2020, based on which a proposal to develop the Public Debt Strategy for 2021-2030 period includes: (i) improve the quality of strategy-making and planning processes as well as legal framework on coordinating and monitoring the implementation of strategies and plans; (ii) develop and complete procedures and coordinations related to public and foreign debt management, fiscal and monetary policies; (iii) more clearly distinguish between local and central government debts; (iv) assess risk tolerance during strategy for mulation; and (v) enhance statistical capability and provide accurate information associated with public debt management, and evidently define scope of public debt for management purposes.

Impacts of Globalization on Public Opinion in Ethnic Minority Areas in Vietnam (14/06/2020)
Since Doi moi (Renovation) in 1986, integration and globalization has made an increasingly large impact on the economic, cultural and social life of the ethnic minorities and the public opinion therein reflected by relevant practical changes of the local people. The fieldwork results show that, ethnic minorities have continually raised more concerns in a new context and thanks to digital media, shared with more people, in more places, at more times and in more diverse ways what they want to express.

Female Migrant Workers in Vietnam in Recent Years (14/06/2020)
Labor migration is an inevitable phenomenon in the process of national integration and socio-economic development. Along with economic growth and diversification of economic activities, uneven regional development, gaps in living standards, etc. have created an increasingly strong wave of labor migration in Vietnam in recent years. In particular, it is worth noting that there’s an increase in female migrant workers from rural areas to large cities to seek employment opportunities. Based on a literature review in Vietnam the past 10 years, the paper addresses the current situation of these workers and their life.

Access to International Markets Challenging Thai Nguyen Tea Industry (14/06/2020)
Thai Nguyen is Vietnam’s second largest tea producer in terms of tea area and production. Tea from the province, however, is mainly consumed in domestic markets. This fact, on one hand, is due largely to the province’s competitive advantage of traditional green tea products and the preference of domestic consumers, but on the other reflects the limited export capacity of the local tea industry. Based on the data from field surveys in Thai Nguyen province, the paper looks at the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of Thai Nguyen tea products in accessing international markets by adopting a SWOT analysis; there by provides general views and possible regional and global market access solutions for them.
