The Situation of Digital Transformation of Vietnamese Enterprises in the Context of the Covid-19 Epidemic (28/07/2021)

The Covid-19 epidemic has accelerated the awareness of enterprises in general, small and medium-sized enterprises in particular, about digital transformation. Digital technologies have been most applied in management, logistics, marketing, and payment, etc., while less than adequate in production which is the most important stage in Vietnamese enterprises. Throughout the unpredictable course of Covid-19, enterprises’ digital transformation capacity has been improved, however rather limited in general. To facilitate enterprises in digital transformation, the government should offer more solutions to help them overcome such barriers as costs, information infrastructure and security.

Applying E-commerce to Identify Brands of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in Cyberspace in Vietnam (28/07/2021)

E-commerce is gradually changing shopping habits of consumers. Online shoppers are free to search and add to cart any goods and services from any country in the world. These changes have brought great opportunities for enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam, in exploiting e-commerce as an effective tool to boost their products, services and brands in cyberspace. The article focuses on clarifying the current situation of applying e-commerce to identify the brands of SMEs in cyberspace in Vietnam, and the challenges that SMEs are facing in doing so to improve their brand awareness and promotion. On that basis, it it proposes solutions to help SMEs promote brand recognition when applying e-commerce.

Artistic Fiction in Historical Novels: New Opportunities for Novels and History (28/07/2021)

Historical novels have recently sparked an interest among Vietnamese writers and researchers. Much has been discussed, including opposing opinions, about the matter of fiction in historical novels. This paper deals with different viewpoints of the relationship between historical reality and artistic fiction in historical novels; thereby asserts that artistic fiction has opened up new opportunities for both novels and history as well.

Cultural Changes of Ethnic Minorities in Vietnam - Laos Border Area during the Process of Development and Integration (28/07/2021)

In the last few decades, cultural change of ethnic minorities in the border areas in general, of those living in the border between Vietnam and Laos in particular, has become inevitable in the development and integration process. Several studies have contributed to identifying cultural changes of ethnic minorities therein due to the mutual impacts among interspersed ethnic groups in the region and across the border. The preservation and promotion of traditional material and spiritual cultural values of these ethnic groups in the current context are emphasized as well. The paper provides an literature review of this subject over the past decades, from which indicating a research gap and proposing some orientations in the coming future.

Students’ Viewpoints of Human Rights for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender People (28/07/2021)

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender people (LGBT) are more likely vulnerable to social inequalities, including gender recognition. The article shows that while LGBT’s right to legal gender recognition and other related ones have also been recognized worldwide, little has changed in Vietnam. The survey results reveal that a high proportion of students support the LGBT‘s right to gender recognition as a legal guarantor for gender recognition, reassignment, transgender as well as name change. However, several students believe that it is also necessary to attach conditions to such requests.

Understanding the Social Moral Degradation in Vietnam from Sociological Theories (28/07/2021)

The degradation of social morality in Vietnam recently has become increasingly sophisticated and alarming. The significant impacts on the society and people could be seen in various complicated dimensions, and harmonized solutions are unlikely to be achieved without a fundamental deep rooted approach. The paper, among others, attempts to interpret the underlying reasons for the moral erosion in the society from a sociological approach. On that basis, it sets forth solution orientations for this ongoing issue.

International Solidarity Presented in Revolutionary Newspapers in Tonkin in the Period 1939-1945 (28/07/2021)

In the years 1939-1945, the World War II raged and many countries including Vietnam became involved. Against this background, the Indochinese Communist Party promptly responded by asking revolutionary newspapers to raise their voice in support of anti-fascist countries. Thoroughly grasping the Party’s policy, the revolutionary press in Tonkin in the period 1939-1945 devoted many articles to the spirit of international solidarity and opposition to the pointless war. Opposing the war, standing for the people, and protecting working people around the world is a consistent perspective and action of the Vietnamese Communist Party and people.
