Some Concerns on Family Relationship in Vietnam Today (10/09/2013)

Family has an important role in notly the individual growth but also in the implementation of social functionalities as well as the maintainance and transmission of national cultural values through generations. Development strategies for Vietnam in the period 2020 - 2030 emphasized the ability to expand good traditional values of Vietnamese families and building an “advanced and happy” family which meet the requirements of industrialization and modernization. The article has clarified some concerns on building up an advanced and happy family based on major results obtained from the Scientific Research Programme 2011 - 2012 done by Institutes for Family and Gender Studies. These concerns are also written through the viewpoints of such family relationships as followed: husband - wife, parents - children and grandparents - parents - children.

Entering the period of Renewals, even achieved some poisitive achievements, Vietnam families has now exposed some remarkable limitation. Considering year 2013 as a yeaf of Vietnamese families, the topic on “Love connection to improve the traditional values and build up an advance and happy Vietnam family” is to confirm the values of families as well as increase the responsibilities of relevant officials in buidling family. Basically, author has mentioned to some theoretical perspects about family and how to build a family in an advance and happy pathway.
