In 2025, the partnership between Vietnam and Cambodia witnessed comprehensive advancements, characterized by the continuous consolidation of friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation across politics, economics, defence-security, and people-to-people exchanges. Nevertheless, the nexus has been subjected to multi dimensional impacts from geopolitical, economic, and non-traditional security factors, most notably the intersection of major power interests within the region, alongside the imperatives of sustainable development and increasingly profound international integration. This article analyzes the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Cambodia in 2025 and its future prospects within a broader context of bilateral ties from an international studies perspective.
