The article analyzes the protection of the Party’s ideological foundation in the new era of development through the combination of national strength and the strength of the times. Drawing from the practice of Vietnam - Africa relations, the article emphasizes the role of foreign affairs, international solidarity, and South-South cooperation in enhancing Vietnam’s position and strengthening confidence in the country’s development path. This article employs document analysis and synthesis, combined with case study and comparative methods, to examine the realities of Vietnam - Africa relations. Vietnam - Africa relations embody the spirit of independence, self-reliance, and shared development among developing countries, thereby affirming the values of integration, sustainable development, and the combination of national strength with the strength of the times in safeguarding the Party’s ideological foundation today.
