The paper analyzes the current situation, and prospects of trade cooperation between ASEAN and EU during the period 2020-2025 in the context of significant global economic fluctuations. Using qualitative analysis, descriptive statistics, and secondary data synthesis, the study finds that bilateral trade recovered rapidly after the Covid-19 pandemic, maintained a large scale, and showed a clearly complementary structure. However, cooperation remains limited due to the lack of inter-regional FTAs, unstable growth, and the impact of EU technical barriers. The main reasons stem from differences in institutions, levels of development, and integration capacity among ASEAN countries. This article proposes several recommendations to help Vietnam better capitalize on opportunities arising from ASEAN - EU economic relations.
