Green tourism has currently become an important trend in tourism development, which contributes to protecting natural resources, helping to balance and maintain the environment and promote sustainable development. This article is based on a literature review and policy documents from the 2017-2025 period to evaluate the current state of green tourism in Vietnam. Research findings indicate that while the policy framework is being progressively refined, the policy implementation remains overlapping. Furthermore, although green tourism products are diversifying, they remain fragmented, facing a shortage of specialized management personnel and a lack of unified measurement indicators. Against this background, the article proposes key solutions regarding legal frameworks, budgetary resources, technical standards, and green supply chains to propel the green tourism industry toward sustainable growth.
